Fight against food waste

Our environmental impact

One third of what we produce is produced… for nothing!

Did you know ? Every year, Switzerland generates 2.8 million tonnes of food waste. At least two-thirds of this waste is preventable, meaning that this food could still have been eaten at the time it was thrown away if it had been used in time.*

Collection of unsold and surplus goods from food companies

Partage actively fights against food waste by collecting unsold and surplus products from Geneva’s shops and food companies: fresh products, dry products with a long shelf life, fruits and vegetables, hygiene products.

Valuation of food surpluses

Innovative projects

Partage is positioned in the processing of perishable foodstuffs, in particular with the development of projects for the valorisation of foodstuffs and the processing of fresh products from overproduction. These include making biscuits from unsold bread and drying fruit.

Distribution of food that is still fit for consumption

Partage wishes to offer food products that have passed their best-before date to beneficiary organisations, provided that the quality and food safety of the products are guaranteed.
