Founded in 2011, the Archange Michael charity provides weekly support to individuals and families in need, offering food aid and personal support.
The organisation has recently joined the Partage network.
We spoke to Anna Fawzy to find out more about their commitment.
When was your organisation founded? What were its aims?
Our charity was founded in 2011 to help people in need. It is a non-profit organisation. Since its inception, our aim has been simple: to support families and individuals in precarious circumstances by providing them with food aid as well as personal support. For us, people come first.
What motivated you to set up the charity?
Our motivation is, above all, a human one. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. The values that unite us are solidarity, equality and mutual support. We set up this charity because we wanted to take practical action and provide help to those who need it most.
Why did you want to join the Partage network?
Because we share the same values. The Partage network enables us to collect food to prevent waste and help more families. Together, we are more effective and can make a greater impact.
“Sharing support is essential for us. We support around 150 people a week.”
Who are the beneficiaries of your charity?
Our beneficiaries include families, people living alone, students, older people and anyone facing financial difficulties. We welcome all those in need, regardless of their background, religion or nationality. For us, equality comes first.
