Preparation of food bags

Emergency Aid

The economic crisis linked to Covid-19 and subsequent crises has led to a sharp rise in precariousness in Geneva. Thousands of people have found themselves in difficult situations and are struggling to feed themselves properly.

Since June 2020, the authorities have mandated Partage to prepare and deliver food totes to distribution sites.

At present, around twenty volunteers prepare the food bags, working in shifts on Mondays from 8.30am to midday at our premises in Plan-les-Ouates (19A route de la Galaise, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates).

Sharing Saturday

Sharing Saturday is held twice a year, in June and November.

Volunteers welcome customers by offering them a shopping bag and directing them to the products they need. They collect the bags and products and separate them into food products and hygiene products before depositing them in the tills or grids provided for this purpose.

Adding value to fruit

Partage recovers perishable goods to give them a second life

Volunteers help run our recycling chain: sorting apple slices, placing them on grids for dehydration and then packing them into bags.
