Popup Café
Trained at Penninghen Paris, Sylvie Wibaut owes her vocation to her grandfather, a founding figure who introduced her to the pleasures of drawing as a child. Her work as an illustrator is entirely handmade, exploring a dreamlike, feminine, precise and often poetic universe. She regularly publishes and exhibits in Switzerland and abroad.
I chose to work around the notion of the link – that invisible yet strong thread that connects human beings to each other and to their environment. The organic continuity of life, its metamorphoses, its connections.
This green wave, imposed by the bottom of the apple, inspired me to create a form of united movement: fluid, collective, made up of silent metamorphoses. A line that crosses, connects and never stops evolving – like human bonds, always changing but essential.
That’s what binds us together: this shared energy, often invisible, but which makes us a whole greater than the sum of our parts.
The PopUp Café, located on the ground floor of ForPro, is a convivial place where you can enjoy home-made dishes, savour a pastry or take away a meal on the go. ForPro, a Geneva-based foundation committed to promoting vocational training, helps young people build their future. The Espace Tourbillon, as a place for social institutions, including the Fondation Partage, to share and exchange ideas, hosts a variety of projects and initiatives, creating a stimulating environment for up-and-coming professionals.
