Mandarin Oriental Genève
An art director and event manager, in 2018 I went back to drawing, which helped me to get back on my feet, having found my bubble of well-being and creativity. Cerise was born, suddenly, as a matter of course, and through her character, the drawings carried my dreams, my desires, but also my questions and my doubts.
When I was asked to illustrate the Fondation Partage apple for this important anniversary, I initially hesitated to take up the challenge. But then I remembered the messages that my children’s stories evoke: trust, kindness, solidarity, empathy – values that I find in this wonderful Fondation. And like every story, it had to start somewhere. So, like Cerise, who climbs snow-capped peaks, although the road may be long, you have to believe in your heart, in your dreams, and keep your hopes up to meet life’s challenges.
And what could be better than drawing mountains on a giant apple? The wild nature of this ancestral fruit, the fruit of sharing, hospitality and generosity… I finally took up the challenge with “Cerise”, which ventures into these snowy landscapes, between Earth and Sky.
Situated on the banks of the Rhône, with a view of the mountains, the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is a five-star hotel in the heart of the city. It combines comfort with quality service. As part of its social commitment, the hotel supports the Fondation Partage through a range of voluntary work carried out by its teams, helping to strengthen local solidarity.
