This was a very special edition, as the FAO celebrated its 80th anniversary. <\/p><p>Organised at The Fab, located on the second floor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.graduateinstitute.ch\/\">Geneva Graduate Institute,<\/a> the day provided a fun and participatory way to raise awareness of local and global food issues. Through several interactive quizzes on the Kahoot platform, participants were able to test their knowledge on a variety of topics: food security, sustainability of agri-food systems, the fight against waste and the right to food. <\/p><p data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"1058\">As in the previous edition, several themed stands enlivened the participants&#8217; journey:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1586\"><li data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1201\"><p data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1201\">The <strong data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1071\">FAO<\/strong> presented its actions to strengthen food security and promote the right to adequate food around the world.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1404\"><p data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1404\"><strong data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1216\">Ma-terre<\/strong>, the Maison de l&#8217;Alimentation du Territoire de Gen\u00e8ve, showcased local initiatives and collaborations in the region.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1586\"><p data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1586\"><strong data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1431\"> Fondation Partage<\/strong> highlighted its actions to combat food waste and its commitment to helping people in precarious situations in Geneva.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1801\">At the end of each session, the participants with the highest scores won prizes offered by the organising entities.<\/p><p data-start=\"1803\" data-end=\"2051\">It was a friendly and informative event where everyone was able to learn more about the food challenges of today and tomorrow, while participating in a collective experience marked by solidarity and sharing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-14e9c71 elementor-align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"14e9c71\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/digital-media.fao.org\/Share\/gk6075y2xltlb2m2nr2qdrc56cqe24y0?FR_=1&#038;W=1912&#038;H=924\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">Photo gallery<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo credits: FAO\/Pierre Albouy The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, the ma-terre Association, 2050Today and Fondation Partage came together to celebrate World Food Day 2025 on 16 October.
