waste by 2030. Partage wishes to offer foodstuffs after the minimum durability date to beneficiary institutions, provided that the quality and safety of the products are guaranteed.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c4744ad elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c4744ad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">History<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-164e752 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"164e752\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Food waste is still very high in Switzerland. In fact, around a third of the edible parts of food are lost or wasted between the field and the plate*. <\/p><p>On 21 November 2018, the Federal Council accepted the request for the action plan against food waste. In 2022, it will draw up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsd.admin.ch\/newsd\/message\/attachments\/70976.pdf\">an action plan against food waste<\/a>, aimed at all companies and organisations in the supply and value chains of the food sector, as well as the Confederation, cantons and municipalities. <\/p><p>It has three objectives:<\/p><ol><li>By 2030, halve food waste in Switzerland compared to 2017 levels.<\/li><li>Set sectoral reduction targets with the industries.<\/li><li>Reduce as far as possible the environmental impact of avoidable* food losses by structuring and prioritising measures accordingly.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8575cd9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8575cd9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The environmental impact of avoidable food losses<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4682ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a4682ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The food system accounts for around 28% of Switzerland&#8217;s total footprint, a quarter of which comes from avoidable food losses. Implementing the Swiss target of a 50% reduction would cut the environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions from food by 10% to 15%*.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
